Oxygen Curriculum
Our curriculum is influenced by the best tango programs in the world, and is constantly evolving to reflect cutting edge observations about how people parse, learn and retain information in the science of Tango. Our teachers work together for cohesion across classes, and embody a mix of creativity and discipline.
The topics listed below are not sequential, but work together to cover the body of material essential for each level of your learning. Classes rotate themes monthly, so you can come as often as you like and methodically progress through the entire system.

200-Level: Close Embrace

300-Level: Advanced Combinations
300 Level classes are ongoing, with material selected by the instructor to best serve the group. Vocabulary may include sacadas, paradas, boleos, ganchos, barridas, enrosques, and other elements.
Technique (All-levels)
Technique classes are ongoing, and consist of a series of individual exercises and drills to train balance, rhythm, and coordination in the individual dancer's body. The same principles are applied to both roles, and sometimes partnered exercises are given in class to incorporate technique in the context of tango vocabulary.
